300-Hour Yoga Teacher Training
300-hour Teacher Trainings are for those with foundational yoga training who are hungry for more: more knowledge, more practice, deeper wisdom, more time engaging with the practice and time engaging with others in the yoga space. We all have so much to learn from each other - and the groups that make up these training containers bring so much texture to the learning material. We can't wait to dive in with you!
300-hr. Yoga Teacher Trainings are meant for those who have already completed a 200-hour YTT, likely have a year or more of teaching under your belt, and are ready for more knowledge to weave into your teaching or knowledge-base. You don’t have to be a current teacher in order to attend, but we require that you’ve already completed a foundational 200-hr. training in the past (with us, or with another school of yoga).
Our 300-hour Teacher Training course is broken up into 6 modules, each with a specific focus point. You may choose to take individual modules for Continuing Education credit, or take all of them to receive your full 300-hr. certification. We approach our modules with a hybrid online + in-person approach. Some of our modules can be taken fully online, while some are specifically in-person so that you can get the most out of the content.
Our modules include The Practices, The Methods, The Study, The Body, The Industry + The Thread. Together, they create a thorough and comprehensive 300-hour container to deepen your practice, your perspectives + your teaching. Alone, each unit is a thorough stand-alone continuing education module with focus in various areas of the yoga practice. Read more about each module below.
Each of our 300-hr./Continuing Education Modules have a split of online + in-person time. Some modules are fully online, some are mostly in-person, and some are half/half. We decide the split of hours dependent on how we think you'll best absorb the information! Some material is best for lecture-style content online that can be saved and revisited over time, and some material is intentionally saved for when we have the opportunity to be together in-person and hands-on.
You can look more specifically into each module to see the split of online/in-person time for each module. Upon registration, you'll receive admittance into our online portal where you'll have access to our self-paced training material. There is a messaging feature inside the platform where you can contact Nicole + assistant facilitators to ask questions along the way. The online portal connects you directly with other members of the training, and after completion of any TCSY training, you'll have access to ongoing support and community inside of our Alumni page!

SEE ALL 300-HOUR MODULESTo receive your full 300-hr. certification with TCSY, you’ll complete each of our advanced yoga training modules. You can complete these in just about any order - as long as “The Thread” is the last module you complete.
Each module has a bit of a different focus, as outlined below. Most modules are a hybrid of online/in-person training material, and both modules must be completed in order to receive certification. See our calendar of events for upcoming training dates. You can register for one module at at time, or the full program at once.
Yoga is a collection of practices within a practice. Movement, Meditation, Breathwork, Mantra + more are all methods of yoga to walk us toward more ease in our lives. This module is all about the practices and putting them into your body in a way that allows you to teach from your own knowing and personal experience.
How do you create a yoga sequence? How do you stream sequences together to create a yoga class? How might you sequence a bit more creatively? What does it mean to be creative? What is the difference between teaching a 60-minute studio class or a 2-hour workshop?
These questions, amongst many others, are the work of our Methods module. We’ll go into depth about tightening up your cueing, practice teaching and giving/getting feedback, creating sequences, creating classes, holding space, creating the energy of the practice with your voice, your music, and so much more.
I’ll never forget standing in a cadaver lab in a week-long dissection studying the human body, and hearing Gil Hedley say “People want to go to space, but they don’t even know what’s happening under their own skin.”
Your body is how you experience the world. It is how you experience relationship with everything around you. It is how you have the capacity to see the sunrise or hear music or feel someone’s touch. It is an absolute honor to study the human form, and that’s the focus of this module.
We hope you leave our anatomy module with a new-found awe of the human body, and gratitude that you get to live in one. Of course we’ll apply all of this to the yoga practice + how we can move better both on and off the mat.
Svadhyaya is the study of the self + the study of the texts, and that is the work of this module. We’ll take a long, hard look at ourselves. We’ll have long, deep conversations with each other. We’ll read ancient texts as well as modern ones. We’ll self-reflect, a lot. And we’ll have practices that help to guide us toward these places. This module is one of cultivating a deeper conversation with your gut, your inner-wisdom and knowing.
While this module leans heavier into thinking, feeling, talking, reading, writing, and connecting - you can still expect to engage in movement, meditation + breathwork practices meant to guide you toward both introspection + your connection to the whole. This module also includes material from guest teacher Marcy Goldstein who has a PhD in Sanskrit studies + is a wealth of knowledge around the history + philosophy of yoga.
This module is about creating + celebrating opportunities to share the yoga practice with others, and how to become a professional in the yoga space. We blow the lid off of the box around the possible paths you could take in the yoga world. This course includes interview material with studio owners, founders of yoga retreat venues + resorts, teachers, accountants, lawyers, brand strategists + more.
We’ll go over the basics of things like yoga teacher insurance + yoga alliance, you’ll get some tips about how/when/where to create a website, how to show up on social media (if you choose to) and so much more. There will be Q+A opportunities for you to ask for individual input around your teaching path.
This mentorship-style module can only be completed after finishing all others - unless granted otherwise by TCSY team. This module is about both group learning + individual guidance from Nicole. It is about threading together the tapestry of all you’ve learned up to this point, and getting specific feedback + assignments about where you can grow.
There will be guided yoga practices by Nicole, and you’ll teach to each other, too. We’ll have group discussion, guest teacher appearances, 1:1 meeting times with Nicole + more. It is the cherry on top of a delicious + rich 300-hr. experience.
Retreats are a lovely mix of yoga, adventure, travel, connection, rest + play. We often include (optional) outdoor adventure, such as hiking in the mountains or surf lessons. We hire local chefs + guides to give us a full experience of the area we are in. We practice yoga daily, and often incorporate various workshops. There is always a bit of free time for you to explore, rest, get a massage or connect with others in the group. Retreats are for anyone + everyone, and do not provide certification.
